Наши свободы, наши права, наши общества зависят от людей, которые выступают в их защиту. Другими словами, права человека нуждаются в защитниках.
Защитники прав человека рискуют лично, чтобы создать более безопасный, более равный, более инклюзивный и более справедливый мир для всех нас. Тем не менее, во многих частях мира их преследуют, сажают в тюрьму, привлекают к суду, нападают и даже убивают, часто безнаказанно.
Protection International выступает за право защищать права человека. Защищая защитников прав человека, мы защищаем и ваши права тоже.
Кто мы есть
We are an international non-profit organisation that supports human rights defenders in developing their security and protection management strategies. Since 2007, Protection International has been working with local partners across the globe. We understand that human rights defenders are subjects of rights, instead of objects for protection.
Что мы делаем
We support human rights defenders through comprehensive protection programmes, using a preventative, collective, psychosocial, gender-sensitive and intersectional approach.
Руководства по защите
Our protection manuals accumulate over 25 years of our staff’s combined experience and knowledge, as well as the best practices and lessons learned imparted to us from hundreds of human rights defenders from around the world. Most of the manuals’ contents have already been applied in practice, either through pragmatic protection work or in training workshops.
These manuals were developed to provide human rights defenders with additional knowledge and tools to improve their understanding of security and protection.
